Progress is hard to see when you live with it every day. You look in the mirror and see the same person. But put two photos side by side -- one from three months ago and one from today -- and suddenly the change is undeniable.
We built Chrysalis Pic because existing solutions felt wrong. Social media apps push you to share before you're ready. Generic gallery apps make it impossible to find the right photo. And most "progress photo" apps are cluttered with features that get in the way.
We wanted something simple: take a photo, keep it private, compare it later. No accounts, no uploads, no pressure to post. Just a quiet tool that helps you see what's changing.
The name comes from the chrysalis -- the stage where a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. From the outside, nothing seems to be happening. But inside, everything is changing. That felt like the right metaphor for the kind of progress this app is built to capture.
